Service Changes to Turquoise Route 10 - effective July 1, 2016

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority (YCIPTA) Board of Directors at Yuma County Department of Development Services, Aldrich Hall, 2351 26^th Street, Yuma on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. for the purpose of considering the discontinuance of WelltonCAT door to door service. If this change is approved, the last day of service on WelltonCAT would be Friday, August 29, 2014.

With the new YCAT service changes taking effect, all YCAT routes will be free from Monday, August 18, 2014 to Saturday, August 23, 2014.  Please enjoy the new service that YCAT has to offer and See Where It Takes You!  YCAT OnCall service will continue to charge a fare, as would route deviations on YCAT Routes 3, 5, 6A and 8.

Beginning Monday July 28th, Silver Route 9 will only operate at 5:50 a.m. (From San Luis to AWC/NAU/UA) and 5:15 p.m. (From AWC/NAU/UA to San Luis).  This is the limited schedule operated when demand is light.  All other Silver Route 9 trips would be eliminated.  Alternative service is available via Orange Route 2 to Downtown Yuma and transfer to Yellow Route 95.  In the evening time, please ride NightCAT.  Full service under a new routing and schedule will begin on Monday, August 18, 2014.  We aplogize for any inconvenience this may cause.  Please call YCAT at 928.783.2235 or email info@ycipta.az.gov for more information.

Effective Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 6:00 a.m., the parking lot on the southeast side of the Quechan Community Center will be closed from traffic until Wednesday, 07/30/2014, at 6:00 a.m.  Bus Stop 344 on the Blue Route 5 is located in that portion of the parking lot will be inaccessible and the temporary bus stop will be located on relocated to the south side of San Pasqual School Road.

The following routes will be eliminated on Monday July 21st, 2014: Yellow 95 ACCT Shuttle and extra Yellow Route 95 that floats in between the scheduled Yellow Route 95 service. The nearest bus stop to/from ACCT is Main Street @ B Street.  On Monday August 18th, service to ACCT will resume as a direct Yellow Route 95 bus (select trips).  We aplogize for any inconveniences that this may cause.  Call YCAT for more information at 928.783.2235 or email info@ycipta.az.gov.

If you wish to continue to ride YCAT services and have a SP 14 YCAT sticker on your ID card from Yuma Regional Medical Center, Arizona Western College, University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University, Aztec High School, YPIC Charter High School and ACCT, you must obtain a F 14 YCAT sticker to continue to ride YCAT services without interruption by June 30, 2014.

Those riding YCAT without a F 13 YCAT Sticker will be responsible for paying the regular YCAT fares.

Closure of 24th Street between Avenue A and Avenue B from 6 p.m. Friday, May 23rd, 2014 to 6 a.m. Monday, May 26th, 2014 will affect Red Route 1, Green Route 4, Purple Route 6A and Yellow Route 95. There will be detours on all of the mentioned routes. Expect delays.
